Rise of the Eco-Warriors is a feature length documentary that follows 11 young people who spend 100 days in the jungles of Borneo. Their mission is to implement solutions to the destruction of the forests and help save the habitat of the endangered orangutans.
The design brief for this project was to create a simple website that shows the beautiful imagery from the film and entices audiences, including teachers and students, to see the film and find out more about deforestation.
Although deforestation is devastating, the film makers still wanted the film’s marketing material to present a message of hope. The use of large, lush background images, the imagery of the ‘warriors’ looking strong and united and warm coloured call to action buttons, highlight that message.
- wireframing the site structure using Axure
- site design in Photoshop
- HTML / CSS site structure
- composited many different images of the warriors together for their printed movie poster
